Pair of Eyes

I walk out of the Police Department smiling to myself. I had finally filed a restraining order against this guy who has been stalking me for months, and it was time for him to leave me alone. I take a deep breath, absorbing in the freshness of the early spring morning. The shadow that had clouded my heart with fear and depression has at last disappeared. I haven't felt this free for a long time.

One thing I found strange was that during all this law stuff, I still don't know his name or what he wanted. He just followed me every time I left the game shop, keeping within a ten yard radius. I would've reported this sooner, but I needed proof which I didn't have at the time. I was really afraid of this guy, being dressed in black and sneaking around and all. But he did nothing to me, not one thing. He would just sit there and stare at me with his piercing eyes, borrowing holes into my back. He had such deep, blood red eyes…

Wait a minute…did I just…? No, I couldn't have. He's gone now, I can move on with my life. I don't care for him, I don't! I'm just being sympathetic. He might end up in jail or something, I don't know. He's a stalker! A creepy, perverted stalker! Well, I might be being a little too harsh on him. No, He deserved what he got, maybe even more. Then why am I still thinking about this? This is insane! I was just rejoicing on the fact that he's gone, and now I want him back?

My head is swimming with questions, desperately searching for answers. Why do I feel this way? Especially about someone I don't even know? Breath in, breath out. Ok, I just need to clear my mind for a moment and forget all this had ever happened. It doesn't prove to be easy. All I see are his eyes. Looks like I got no choice.

Alright, it's settled. I've got a man to find. I turn back to the police department and quickly ran back inside to find that officer I had been talking to. I hope I didn't just make the bigest mistake of my life.
