It's an awesome pic and please look at it before you read my story! Okay? Thanks!
Oh! And read the Artist's Comments below that! That'll help you understand why I made the story like this!
Disclaimer: sigh. I don't own Inuyasha or the wonderful pic that was my Inspiration. The former belongs to Takahashi Rumiko-sama and the latter belongs to ALM82. . . . . But that's okay! At least, I own this one shot!
Lunar Eclipse
The night was chilly and cool on the night of the full moon and a layer of white snow covered the ground. Nobody should have really been out at this time yet there was a boy walking through the forest.
His hair was whiter even then the snow around him and his golden eyes flashed in the glow of the moon. His brows were furrowed over his eyes and his mouth turned down in a frown. Two forelocks on the side of his face concealed that he did not have human ears and the two dog ears on his head were constantly flicking off the light snow that fell on them. His arms were crossed in the depths of the billowing sleeves of his red haroi, and with each step he took, his bare feet were buried in snow, yet he gave no sign that he felt the cold around him.
The boy walked for a while, giving no notice of the darkening of the scenery around him until he gave a sudden halt as a pulse ran through him and the beginning of a transformation.
The boy's hair started to darken to a dark gray and the claws on his hands, shortened to blunt nails. The fangs in his mouth shrunk until they became unsharpened canines and his eyes darkened to a deep blue. The ears on the top of his head, slowly moved down to the sides of his face as the morphed and rounded to become human ears. His hair finally turned to a deep ebony as his heightened senses dulled and faded.
As the boy felt the sudden chill around him, he seemed to be confused by the sudden transformation for it was not the night of the new moon. He then noticed the darkened scene around him and looked up to see the source of this unexpected transformation. . . . .
. . . . a lunar eclipse.
He gazed up at the now darkened moon as a shooting star swept across the sky.
