Completion

It's fading now like she always knew it would. After years of remembering with grief and then with fondness the details are beginning to ebb from her mind. She sits back and tries once again to remember.

There was light everywhere, crowning him. She was there in front of him, begging him. Begging for the first time, for he loved her too much to see her plead. Her hand fit into his, fitting perfectly like they always had. And she saw his everything, his life, his death, his feelings. She loved him for it, for all of it. While he may have hated to see her beg, trying to persuade him was another matter.

No matter how much age wearies the once strong body she will remember the last words he heard, "...I love you...". She smiled as she always did when she reminisced about this and the "...No you don't but thanks for saying it..." Just showed how stubborn they were.

As the life ebbed away from him though she saw otherwise and now as the force behind her breath faded she reached out to him. As she had done nearly seventy years before she fell head first into completion, this time knowing that she had someone to share it with.
