Before everything else...

I yearned to be

the girl of your dreams.

My fear, sharp and black--

you wouldn't love me back.

My torturous regret

blocking your happiness.

Love choked by jealous agony,

so I walked away silently.

Time passed and peace grew.

No, I didn't forget you.

Quietly, Fate drew secret strands

a tapestry woven by Its hands.

The snare of sudden lust

drew me to another. Just

as you came back into my life.

Confusion certainly, and strife--

secrets falling like rain and thunder--

I tried to run for cover.

Now, after everything else...

A thousand reasons to stay apart.

But Fate approves the truth in our hearts.

Do not ponder the prohecies

Let's take the chance to write our history.

Holding each other close

finding what Fate already knows.
