The blonde turned his head, only to see the pink-haired kunoichi, standing with a sad smile. Naruto smiled in return. A sad smile. The kunoichi took a few steps towards the blonde and sat beside him on the edge of the pier where little Sasuke used to sit.
Sasuke...
Kakashi Hatake sighed sadly at the sight of his two former students.
Both of the Konoha ninjas were in deep sadness to even sense their sensei. Kakashi sat beside Naruto. He raised his arm and comforted his former student with a few warm pats on the shoulder. He glanced at his other former student. Sakura smiled sadly.
It's just not 'Team 7' without Sasuke...

"I wonder if they could ever get over it..." Ino Yamanaka bit her lip. She glanced at her teammate, Shikamaru Nara. The lazy nin only sighed.
"They look... so sad..." Kiba Inuzuka said. Hinata and Neji Hyuuga looked with sympathy at the three.
"Naruto...?"
Once again, the blonde turned.
Gaara.
"What is it, Gaara...?" Naruto breathed, holding his tears. Gaara kneeled before the blonde.
"You okay...?" He asked, stroking Naruto's cheeks affectionly.
Naruto bit his lip. His vision blurred. "...No..."
Gaara pulled the now sobbing shinobi into his arms. Sakura felt her tears strolling down her cheeks. Kakashi sighed.
"Evening..."
"Ssssh... It's alright, Naruto..." Gaara stroked the blonde silk.
"Sasuke..." Naruto gasped, "...isn't coming back..." He hiccuped. Gaara felt his heart torn in two.
"He's NEVER coming back..." Naruto sobbed.
"I'm here, buddy..." Gaara smiled as he cupped the blonde's chin, leading him to face pale green eyes. "...And I'll NEVER leave you..." He smiled. Naruto burst into tears. Sakura felt a warm palm on her shoulder. She looked up. Kakashi smiled.
"Sensei..."
"Everything is going to be alright, Sakura..."
"It's... it's now 'evening'..."
"Evening..."
"I lost him... in the evening..." Naruto clutched the Kazekage's clothe. Gaara hugged him tighter.
"I know..."
"I don't want to lose a friend... a best friend anymore..."
"..."
"Gaara...?"
"He's... very important to you..."
"..."
"I know how you feel..."
"No... No, you don't, Gaara..."
"Yes, Naruto, I do."
"..."
"Because... I'd broke too..."
Gaara stared at the cerulean blue orbs. "...if I lost you..."
The orbs filled with tears.
"Gaara..."
"Please don't cry, Naruto..."
"You were alone, were you...?"

"I'm sorry... I only thought of Sasuke..."
A smile.
"Gaara...?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't leave me... Promise?"
"Yeah."
Naruto Uzumaki smiled, clutching the Kazekage's cloth once more, only to be embraced by Gaara.
