Suraj Gagan continued singing but he was lost somewhere in the pages of his life's history. He was orphaned at a young age just few months before his 5th birthday. Engrossed in his not so happy memories, he didn't realize the phone slipping out of his hands and the earphone being disconnected and soon the song was blaring in the CID Bureau.
He bent to pick it up knowing very well that the damage has been done when a voice thundered
"For your kind information sub-inspector Daya this is the CID keep it in mind."
He felt bad as this senior's words always pierced him like a dagger for reasons unknown to him.
AFTER SOME TIME…
(IN BUREAU PARKING)
"Oh no man what will I do now?" sighed daya
"What happened?" his senior asked.
"Nothing sir" he smiled deciding against his wishes to smack this person really hard.
"Listen I know something's wrong with your car and I am giving you a lift" he ordered.
"No sir its tota.." before daya could complete he said
"It's an order" said abhijeet getting into the car while daya followed him having no other option.
And abhijeet added "that is my favourite song too" while a smile lit up up his junior's face.
FLASHBACK END
"hello mister come back from your dreamland" abhijeet smirked.
"I wasn't in my dreamland" daya smirked back.
"oh really" abhijeet asked innocently.
"Yes I was just thinking about the sunshine of my life. He is the person who didn't make me regret growing up and who always stood behind me like a strong pillar." Daya's eyes glistened.
"Oh my sister-in-law I guess" said abhijeet running away from there.
"You….." daya shouted and their chasing game continued.
