Jinx,

I know you're probably mad at me right now. Heck, I'd be mad at me too. But if you're at least calm enough to not tear this up, please read it. Because unless I fail and you guys put me in a dungeon or something, this is the only way I can tell you this.

I hope you can understand that I did what I did as a strike against the Hive and Brother Blood, not you. I have nothing personal against you. Heck, far from it, girl! From the day we met you impressed me (which is more than I can say for the peabrain and the twerp you hang out with.) I mean, you did pretty much kick our butts the first time we met. I still remember being impressed at how... elegant you were, even if I was too busy being rocketed away to pay attention at the time

I'm rambling now, aren't I? I guess so. I'm trying to say what I want to say, but sometimes it's hard, you know? I wanted you to know that I may have lied about who I was, but I never lied about you. If that makes any sense at all. I mean, I really did find putting Gizmo's bomb in his own potatoes funny, you know? And though I don't care for the taste of Unicycle, I didn't really mind carrying your books..

Most of all, I want to say this: When we were dancing, it was me dancing with you, not Stone. And if I had another chance to dance with you, I would. But so long as you're with the Hive and I'm with the Titans, I don't think it can happen. I don't know what Brother Blood is using to control you, the way he tried to control me, but I do know that he can't really give it to you. Please, for your own sake, leave the Hive.

The next time we meet, it will probably be in battle. I'm not naive enough to think that one plea from me will convince you to leave. I know that when that time comes you won't hold back, so neither will I. I just wish it didn't have to be this way.

Cyborg.

Brother Blood looked up from his reading. He had of course seen "Stone" carefully sneak it into Jinx's room on his way to the "class project". Nothing happened at the Hive that he didn't know of. He'd wanted to know what it said then, of course, but time prevented that. Now, of course, he had all the time in the world while a new base was constructed. He carefully put the letter back in the envelope. He knew he could use this to his advantage, but the question was how to best do that. Until that was answered, the letter would remain... unreceived.
