"Why do you stay with me?"
Barty looked at him like he'd lost his mind. "Because I love you."
"I dragged you into this. I made you join the Death Eaters," Regulus continued like Barty hadn't said a thing.
"And I'd do it again and again as long as you were the one asking."
"You hate the Dark Lord." Regulus avoided eye contact.
"But I love you and I always will." Barty paused for a second. "Even if you don't always believe it."
Regulus looked up at that. "You will always be there with me," he said like it had finally gotten through his thick skull.
"There's a reason I'm a Hufflepuff," Barty laughed.
That simple sentence made Regulus smile. "You're the perfect Hufflepuff."
Barty returned the smile and pressed a kiss to the other's lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Always."
