The only thing he knows for sure is that they took his wallet.

He stumbles into the ER, blood is running down his nose to gather on top his lip. He resists the urge to lick it away, he's already nausea enough. He can feel his nose is broken and uses his silk tie to applying pressuring to it. He doesn't even want to look at the rest of him.

An old tired Nurse rolls her eyes at him and his plea for immediate attention. She hands him a clip board and points him to a line of chairs where another man is sitting in the excat same situation he's in. He sighs and takes it, knowing he's going to have to keep the tie against the nose for just a little while longer. He fills out what he can then stands up and gives her his credit card to prove he's going to pay. At that she gives him an ice bag, he returns to his seat and leans against the back of the chair.

"Dr. Tancredi and Dr Miller, ER please," The nurse calls into the loudspeaker.

Micheal goes over in his mind all the cards he's going to have to cancel and the how lucky he is to keep that spare credit card in his jacket pocket. So what if Lincoln said it was nerdy.

He only pries his eyes open and takes off the ice bag when he heard the two doctors approaching. He froze when he saw them. There was a old man who looked like he'd being doing this so long he no longer cared to take care of two men that were merely beat up. But the other...the other was a woman who Michael immediately studied. She was beautiful. Long brown hair, eager eyes, a mouth...wow that mouth, it gave a tiny calming smile.

Michael sucked in a deep breath as they walked closer, the older man was saying something to her. And if Michael hadn't been completely in awe of her he might have actually hear the words. But he didn't. All he could focuses on was her.

Michael felt his stomach twist with something he wouldn't feel again for years. In that instant he felt every single emotion he'd always denied himself of. And from that fluttering surprised looked on her eyes, he knew she felt the excate same thing.

But the moment was easily ruined when the old man stopped in front of him and she kept walking, giving him only a glance over the shoulder. A look full of longing, eager hopes...but knowing it wasn't going to happen..it all shown in her eyes.

The truly strange thing is he wouldn't really remember her then next morning, or even five years later when they met again.

Yet he'd always remember the feeling of true love at first sight.
