Fireworks
Fireworks.
That's what the pair of them reminded her of Jean decided as she watched Jackie finish cuffing Cameron Friel and lead him away.
First one went off and then the other, in almost perfect synchronisation.
Just like fireworks.
Jean smiled to herself as she caught Jackie's concerned look in Michael's direction as he staggered to his feet behind her.
She wondered if Jim had even noticed the connection between the pair. He had an eye for detail when it came to cases he was working on but he could sometimes be completely oblivious to what was happening right in front of him.
She was certain, however, that if he was aware of it he would have said something by now.
Jean smiled to herself as she enjoyed the feeling of knowing something before Jim did.
Now all she had to do was wait for him to figure it out on his own and then…watch some fireworks of a different kind.
