This is just harmless fluff, something I thought up while I was supposed to
be working on other things. Just yet another turbo lift scene. They are
enough of them already, aren't there? Might as well add mine to the list.
Disclaimer: The usual, Paramount owns the characters, I borrow them, I write the story.
"Good morning, Kathryn," said Chakotay as they got on the turbo lift.
"Good morning, I trust you had a pleasant night," she replied, innocently.
Chakotay smirked, knowing there were two ways she meant him to take that. "I suppose," he replied, in the same tone, "though not as pleasant as it could have been."
"Oh?" Janeway replied, slyly.
"It was quite restful, though," he replied contentedly.
"I can assure you, pleasant and restful can be two different things," she stated.
"Care to show me how?" he added, nonchalantly.
"Who said I would show you anything?" she asked.
"Is there something I'm not allowed to see?"
"Some things are classified."
"And how would I go about gaining access to something classified?"
"What makes you think you should?"
"Why not?"
"Are you sure you could handle it?"
"How would you know unless you gave me the chance?"
"Who said I was going to give you anything?"
"I'll earn it then."
"Can you?" she grinned, seductively.
"Trust me, I'm very good at earning my keep," he replied, mischievously.
"What's in it for me?" she asked, slyly.
"You'll see when you get there," he replied.
Without either of them noticing it, the turbo lift doors opened.
"My quarters, 2200 tonight," he replied devilishly.
"I'll be there," she replied, licking her lips in anticipation.
Tuvok cleared his throat. "Captain on the bridge," he said in his Vulcan monotone.
Chakotay snapped to attention. Embarrassed, Janeway fought to keep her composure. She stepped onto the bridge, closely followed by her first officer.
Tom stood up and asked with a straight face, "May I request permission to get a glass of ice water?"
