Title: Crossing Spade

Summary: When the younger Spade sister joins the Missing Persons Unit, will she be able to keep her personal life separate from the job? What happens when the two intertwine?

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Without A Trace characters. I do, however, own Andrea Freedom Spade. Please don't sue: I'm a poor high school student that just can't afford a lawsuit in today's society. Damn you society. Damn you.

A/N: Again, I don't know if I will be continuing this with a second part. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write another WOAT fic, but school has been keeping me really busy lately. Thanks so much for your patience.

A/N: Please review this story if you read it. It takes a lot of work to come up with these ideas, and to type them, and make sure they come out correctly. It does take a decent amount of time to upload the stories to the site, and it's the least you can do to take five seconds and review them. Thanks again, everybody.

"This is a pretty normal FBI Field Office. The work is long and demanding but the result of all of the hard work is satisfactory, which is what every agent should strive for."

I sit in the Special Agent's office, listening to her give me the same speech that I got from Samantha when I told her I wanted to work for the FBI, and the same speech that I got at the academy. I had seen how well this job was treating Samantha, and decided that I would give it a shot, and see how well I did. After all, it couldn't make matters any worse now could it?

"Do you want to go meet everyone else?"

"Sure, sounds like a nice idea."

Together, the both of us stand up and walk out into main part of the office, to where all of the desks meet. The five other agents are all sitting in the chairs, smiling and laughing, as if they don't have another care in the world.

"Well, Andrea, you already know Samantha, but this is Martin Fitzgerald and Danny Taylor."

I receive a nod and a kind smile from the one she referred to as Danny, and a hand shake from Martin.

"This is Vivian Johnson."

"You can just call me Viv, sweetie."

The woman seemed very kind, and immediately I know that the two of us were going to get along just fine.

"and this is going to being your supervisor, Jack Malone. Everybody, this is the new agent, Andrea Spade. Let's give her the frosty welcome that all rookies deserve."

The older woman's sarcasm leaves a bad taste, and I can't help but feel glad when she walks away.

"Well, we'll have to give you the grand tour later, Andrea, but for right now, I'd like to have you partnered up with Danny, and take that empty desk next to him."

I walk over and sit down, as Danny extends his hand. I grasp it and give it a small shake, as I focus my attention back to what Jack is saying.

"Normally, we would give you sometime to adjust, but this case, is gaining a lot of media attention, and I'd like to get it solved quickly. Bill Bernell, eleven years old. Billy went missing six hours ago. He was supposed to be on a class trip to a local museum, but when his teacher did roll call, the boy was nowhere to be found. Right now, Sam, Viv, I want you two to go to the museum, see if any of the employees happened to see where he went. Danny, Andrea, I want you two to go talk to Bernell's parents and see what you can find out from them."

Danny and I get up and go out to the FBI-issue sedan parked out front.

"We didn't get a chance to talk inside. I'm Danny Taylor,"

He says, giving me the cheekiest grin I've ever seen.

"I'm not going to be sleeping with you, Agent Taylor, so you might as well get that idea out of your head right now."

I can hear him laugh behind me, as I get into my side of the car.

"You and I are going to get along just fine, Andrea, just fine."

For some odd reason, though, I have a very bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, like today is going to be a bad day.
