RISA POV
Conner. He was all I could think about lately. His hair, his eyes, his everything. The way I smile at him, you would think he could take a hint. Obviously not. He was completely oblivious and I was getting tired of it. I'm not the type of girl to spill her feelings to just anyone. But then again, Conner wasn't just anyone. He was, no IS, my reason to live, the only one I will ever love. But he never seems to notice me. So what am I gonna do? Make him notice me. How will I do that you ask? Flirt. With. Roland.
CONNER POV
Risa. I think im in love with her. So when I see her walking over to roland instead of me, I feel the need to rip off his head. Then I see her look at me, I think she must have a plan to get him to back off. But no… what does she do? She stands there and twirls a piece of her hair while smiling widely at him. I stand there in shock while she starts laughing at something he just said. Right now I feel like killing myself. Maybe it would've been better if I was unwound. Then I wouldn't have to go through this torture because it feels like my world is crashing down on me. So I run.
RISA POV
I keep trying to find conner. I need to make sure he sees me with roland. So I keep looking and looking til I find him and it seems like luck is on my side today because roland is about 50 yards away. So I walk over to roland but not before I catch conner's eye. Ive never been good at flirting. But I watched plenty of movies in my time so I pretend im one of the girls who are total sluts and I smile at roland and say hi while twirling my hair around my fingers.
He says to me "well this is a surprise"
"and why is that"
"well lets see… conners over there"
"well just cause we ran away together doesn't mean I have to be with him all the time"
He smirks "could've fooled me"
I laugh at that. Then look back to where conner was. I don't see him. "well nice talking with you" I say as I run off looking for him.
CONNER POV
I finally stop to take a breath when I hear a voice behind me.
"why were you running?"
I turn around to see risa standing there, more gorgeous than ever.
"why were you talking to roland?" I say, oh so cleverly.
"do you really not know?"
"actually no, or I wouldn't have asked"
She hesitates and her eyes are running back and forth like shes trying to decide to tell me or not. So I just wait.
"because" she says in a soft voice "I had to find some way for you to notice me"
I stand there shocked. "risa" I say "I notice you. All the time. Every minute of the day. You wanna know why?"
She just stands there silent. So I keep going. "its because, because I love you" I admit.
She looks at me with hopeful eyes and jumps into my arms, kisses me and then whispers "I love you too"
