About
Okay so, I am trying to make things different here. I didn't use Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master but this is just a basic story between 2 people who friendship got broken apart. I'm not following according to the real BRS anime characters and when Mato have a father lol, so that just it. Hope you like it and review for my first BRS short story which I didn't plan to attempt a full long story first. Sorry if I miss out some punctuation cause of some error my notepad did to me ._.
The howling of the wind went through the trees without end, causing the skin on her neck to prickle. Yomi stared at the block of stone before her, unable to unravel the knot of anger within her. A tiny voice in her cried out for her to forget her grudge but she held on to the wellspring of hate that had kept her strong all these years. She was not going to let go, never
They had been the best of friends two young girls who shared their secrets and dreams. Ever since they had sat next to each other in school, Mato and Yomi had found in each other the love and concern that their wealthy but busy parents had not the time to provide. Both girls spent their time together, doing homework and chatting endlessly on the phone every night without fail. Suddenly, they did not mind so much that their parents give them nothing more than a cursory glance each night at bedtime. The weekends of being left to their own devices were not so daunting after all when they had each other to confide in.
However, things were not to stay that way. Mato's parents decided that a change of environment would be good for her daughter and sent her away to further her studies. Without considering the feelings of Mato, they went ahead with the arrangement. This was not the end of Mato's problems. Mato was left to pack up amidst her tears and a broken heart. She could not understand why her parents could be so cruel.
On the day of her departure, Mato hugged Yomi tightly while tears streamed down her rosy cheeks. Before she let go, she heard the last word from Yomi s mouth, "You must come back and see me! I ll wait for you. Promise me that!" With a nod, Mato sobbed her heart out and left with her parents.
The years passed and Yomi grew up into an independent and intelligent girl. Both of them carried on their friendship via emails and telephone calls. Mato had not returned to see Yomi as she was bogged down by her college involvements. However, she resolved to return to Japan to see her best friend. It was a promise she was determined to keep.
The weather had still not cleared. Yomi stood still, mesmerized by the brown leaves being flung relentlessly against the cold hard stone. Mato was supposed to return but did not. Yomi could feel the familiar feeling of disappointment hardening into a knot of anger and hate. Mato had not kept her word. Yomi refused to entertain the memory of a telegram that arrived a week ago, even if it explained that Mato had died in an accident on the way to the airport.
Suddenly, Yomi screamed in defiance at the tombstone before her, "But you promised! I will never trust you again!" Her ears rung with the agony of her hate, it was infinitely easier to hold on to.
