Chapter One

The Unexpected Meeting

A bright and sunny day, Amy wanted to get out of the house for a little while, so she gathered up what she needed and headed out. She went outside, trying to find the perfect spot to set up. Amy went up a grassy, green, tall, lush hill. She took out a checker, red and white blanket to spread out, after placing it down, she put out food, chocolate chip cookies, lemon, iced tea and buttered toast, her favorite. It didn't take her long to relax she closed her eyes to feel the cool breeze against her pink fur, in minutes she was sound to asleep.

Later, a few pasted, a blue blur came zooming by, and Sonic was curious came to a screetching halt in front of Amy, which unknowndisted by her.

Sonic spoke up, "Hey, Amy what's up?"

"Oh, Just taken a break. Why? What is on your mind?" Still having her eyes closed, hands behind her head.

"Um I was wandering, if I could join you? If not, I'm going to go see Tails." Standing still, waiting for an answer, emerald eyes looking into hers.

"Okay, Sure have a seat." She moved over making room for him to sit down. She then proceed in giving him swiss cheese on a cracker and a poured glass of tea. Sonic took time to talk to her about old times and to catch up. Both looked up at the light, blue sky saying what the white, puffy clouds looked like to them, Amy saying one looked like a fluffy bunny, Sonic laughed at that, saying thats girls for you.

Amy then asked, out of the blue, "So did you kick Eggmans butt Yet again, today?"

Sonic smiled. "Yep, and he begged for mercy, for me to let him go and me always being, the good guy did just that, I watched him and his bots run out of sight, and out of mind."

"That was thoughtful of you!" She then glomped him happily.

"Thank you." Rubbing the back of his head.

The both of them sat there in silence. "So, Amy, I been meaning to ask you something, but would you like to go out with me some time?"

Amy blushed, "Really? You mean that, What made you say that all sudden?"

Sonic leaned in closer to her face with his and their lips touched, Amy felt chills run down her spine, she was shocked to say the least but that made her happy that after years of obsession and chaseing him down, he finally gave her a chance and to see her more, than just a friend, but as a young girl, that really did care for him.

She reached over, placing her hand over his and decided to tell him what she felt, "Sonic I really like you, a lot, even more, than that, I would love to take the chance, you have given me and see how we turn out, as a couple, so, My answer, is Yes!"

"I'm real happy to hear that and wecan take this, slow and steady. I hope so too that this become something more, in many years into the future," He winked at her. "Maybe even a few kids."

"Okay, Don't push yer luck." Amygetting annoyed, she had a vein popping from her head.

Deciding it was wise to change the subject, he pointed at the horizon" Look, Amy the sunset, aint that pretty?" Amy getting distracted, looked at the setting sun withit's bright colors of orange and reds with some yellow.

"Wow, that is, just beautiful." Amy getting excited, wishing, she brought her camera. "No, I think you are more beautiful than anything in the whole world."

He smiled down at her and she found herself smiling back at him and leaned her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her, both stared off at the sunset as it went down for the day, that was a day for their Blooming Hearts.
