Holding On To Hope
On the Clow card trail from Hong Kong came Syaoran Li
And as I had them cards he did not much like me.
I tried to be friendly but he was always rude,
Forever arrogant and gloomy sudden mood.
Yet we became friends, perhaps was destined so-
Known to the stars and the all-knowing Clow!
Things began to change when old Cupid played his game,
Somewhere in the middle friendship got a new name.
Yukito-kind and sweet I saw none but him;
Li's feelings hidden deep how could I dream?
There might have been clues but I was so dense,
Foolish and blind- I drove away all sense!
He stood by my side 'gainst all cards and foe,
I cried on his shoulder whenYuki said "NO!"
Still he was silent and waited till the last,
Till it was all over and the last card was cast.
Then he left as sudden as come he had
I bade him farewell with a heavy heart and sad.
Long is the wait but I know come he will,
I'll hold onto hope till I can no more feel.
Author's note:A bit of a lame attempt, if you like Sakura-Syaoran stuff you can read my other poem Cherry Blossoms which is much better.
