Hey there, Roxy Goth again, after the results of my previous story 'The plan' I decided to do a proper one-shot. It does not take place in any specific episode or in any specific time frame. Could be some tomeesha if you squint.

I do not own M I High in any way shape or form.

"I…can't…believe…we're alive." Dan panted as he, Aneisha and Zoe ran through the forest.

The four of them had been sent to retrieve a memory stick containing everything about M I High which KORPS had somehow managed to get a hold of, how they did it was anyone's guess, but the main thing was they got the thing back, all they had to do now was find their way out of the forest, which was trickier than it might sound.

As the three field agents sprinted ahead, Tom was straggling behind, part of this reason was because he was carrying a laptop and the second was because he was really not a good field agent. There was a reason he stayed behind during missions you know.

As he was focusing on not dropping the laptop and keeping the others in his line of vision Tom wasn't really concentrating on where he was going, which is why he tripped and fell with a yell, on the ground.

Hearing this the others skidded to a stop and looked back. "Oh that's just what we need…" Dan muttered, irritably as he jogged back.

"Shut up Dan, he hardly meant it." Aneisha snapped. This mission meant nerves and tension was running high.

"Are you okay?" Zoe asked, kneeling next to Tom.

"Think so…hold on an aaarrgghh!" Tom tried to get up, but a sharp pain in his ankle stopped him.

"You've twisted your ankle." Zoe said immediately.

"I'll be fine…"

"Don't be stupid."

"Zoe, I'll be fine, give me the laptop…."

"Oh no, you can barely stand let alone run through a forest holding that thing. Aneisha, grab the laptop and run back to Frank, explain me and Dan are helping Tom and we should be there in five."

As Aneisha followed out Zoe's instructions Dan looked at the red-head. "We're helping him…"

"Oh no Dan, I thought we'd leave him here to be killed by KORPS, of course we're helping him! Grab an arm…." Between the two of them they got Tom on his feet and began the walk to the van.

"By the way." Dan said as they navigated their way down a hill. "I didn't mean I wasn't going to help, I was just clarifying."

"I know." Zoe replied, kicking a rock.

"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to Tom."

"I know." Tom said, through gritted teeth. "And its fine, I like to know what I'm doing to… aaarrgghh!" He yelled after stepping forward and putting more pressure than he meant to on the injury.

"Okay Tom, nearly there now…" Zoe wasn't really sure if she wasn't to reassure herself or Tom.

"Ah team." Frank greeted, nodding at some other agents to grab Tom. "I was beginning to worry. When Aneisha told me you'd managed to injure yourself, Tom….never mind. We'll get you some painkillers and patch you up properly when we get back."

Back at HQ Tom's ankle was soon bandaged and, with the painkillers having kicked in, he was feeling better.

"I'm glad." Aneisha said. Tom blinked, he hadn't realised he said that out loud. "You're a pain. But I don't like seeing you injured."

"Thanks." Tom turned to his computer. "Want to play some battle quest with me?"

Aneisha shrugged. "Sure."

And so she did.
