Hi, I`m back again! I bet people are getting sick of my writing style, but TOO BAD!

Another Neru/Kikaito story, this one is rather short, but I tried to make it sweet. It`s kinda a sequel to "Neru's Secret Hobby", but I suppose it can stand alone.

Enjoy!

Kikaito paused in the driveway, an exasperated grin on his face as he saw how the house had every single light turned on. Again. Ever since they had gotten married, he would always come back home from work to find their house shining like a beacon in the darkness. A welcoming sight, but slightly heavy on the bills.

Shaking his head, he parked the car.

"So that`s why the electric bills have been higher this month." Neru looked up from her embroidery hoop with a scowl. "You`ve been doing this long enough, isn`t it time to stop?"

"Isn`t your wife`s safety worth more than money?" she demanded.

"While I fail to see the connection between safety and leaving all the lights on…" he trailed off, running a hand through his golden locks. "Yes, your safety is more important."

"Statistically, houses with the lights on have a lesser chance of being robbed than dark houses." She sniffed. "I`m keeping the house from being ransacked. The least you could be is grateful."

Neither of them mentioned the missing source of this so-called fact Neru had brought up.

Kikaito raised his eyebrows. "We have one of the best security systems in the neighborhood, and several friends in the police department." He responded, referring to Gakupo and Yuma. "Chances of us actually being robbed is slimmer than a strand of hair. Or one of your strings."

"Better safe than sorry, and it`s thread, not string." replied Neru, and stood up. "I`ll start dinner." As she walked to the kitchen, she paused. "Oh, and… welcome home." With that, she left the living room and a smiling Kikaito.

'I bet that`s what you wanted to say all along.' He thought, and stretched. Once a tsundere, always a tsundere.

"I love you!" he called in to the kitchen, where he could now hear wated boiling.

"Late reply!" she yelled back in a scolding tone.

Wow, that was... short...
