Scorpius Malfoy was not known to blush, yet here he was, blushing and stuttering like never before. But then again, it wasn't easy to tell the girl of your dreams that you love her, and that you want to be with her for the rest of your life. Especially when that very girl is fourteen year old Lily Luna Potter, the youngest child and only daughter of Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Also the 'baby' sister of his best mate, Albus Severus Potter.

But here he was, trying his best. You see, Scorpius Malfoy had thought Lily was interesting from the day he met her, during his third year. He'd never met any of Albus' family as he was not allowed to see Albus over the summer, thanks to his dear old grandfather. But it was Lucius Malfoy's death of a Heart attack later that year, that had seen Scorpius receive more freedom.

Scorpius and Lily had started dating towards the end of her third year, after she turned fourteen, when James and Albus had decided she was old enough to date. But it took until Scorpius's potion class for him to really see what Lily meant to him. Today, in potions they had made Amortentia, a love potion. It smells different for everyone, Albus' had smelt like freshly mowed grass, wood and bubblegum. Scorpius' smelt like chocolate, grass and something distinctly floral, which Albus told him was the smell of lilies.

But Lily understood, she was intuitive like that. So as he tried to tell her something that she'd figured out months ago, she bit back giggles while she watched him become quite flustered. She figured she'd better put him out of his misery.

"Oh Scorpius," She said, to shut him up, before reaching out to him, pulling him down – he really was quite tall – and kissing him right on the mouth. He seemed to get the picture and pulled her close. And everything seemed right in the world.
