Ensign Pavel Chekov stood in an empty hallway staring off into nothingness tears in his eyes yet he refused to let them fall. He has been feeling down more and more lately missing Mother Russia. As far as he knew he was the youngest of the crew at Seventeen and was the only one from Russia. At times he felt lonely and like no one could understand him and where he was coming from in his feelings.
Unknown to the young navigator, a Lt [f/n] Romanov from engineering completely understood having the same was very young for a Lt at eighteen and was the only female in engineering. She herself was also Russian born though she had more practice at hiding her accent which rarely came forth unless she was excited or angered. Seeing Chekov standing in the hallway and unmoving she decided that perhaps now was the time to introduce herself to him.
Walking up next to him she spoke with concern in her voice and her eyes, "Are you alright Ensign Chekov?" He jumps slightly not having heard her approach. Rubbing his arm against his eyes quickly he replies still looking away, "Yes, yes." Lt. Romanov raised an eyebrow and shakes her head and then speaks in Russian so that those who may pass by don't eve's drop on the conversation. "Don't lie Ensign, after all you should never lie to a fellow Russian." Smiling at Chekov she gives him a hug that lasts only a few seconds. "I'm Lt[f/n] Romanov, and Ensign pause if you ever want to talk just find me."
Chekov smiles and hugs her this time, "Thank you." Hugging him back and smiling, "And as you've noticed I give free hugs." Letting go the both laughed at that.
