Taylor looked across the office at Eli and sighed. She knew she still loved him with all her heart; she just had no idea what to do about it. It was just… When Eli had started pushing her she had let him, because the very thought of Eli dying scared her more then she cared to admit. Taylor again looked through her office window and saw Eli talking with Maggie. She was suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of sadness. What if Eli had moved on already like she had accused him of earlier that week? Now that she thought about it… The only reason she had accused him was because of her sudden anger. Their relationship had meant so much to her, and there was a chance that Eli had already pushed his memories aside.

Taylor then turned her focus to Patti. When Patti saw Taylor looking at her she gave her a scathing look that simply said, "I don't like you." Taylor just couldn't understand why that woman had never tolerated her. 'Maybe if I try again with Patti to be friends… Maybe that would be a good place to start with Eli, to show him I am still there for him,' Taylor thought. 'I can't lose Eli,' she thought fiercely. 'I love him! He's… my soul mate.' Just as Taylor was about to get up and try talking with Patti, her father asked to speak with her in his office. As Taylor walked down to her father's office, she gave one last longing look at Eli, still chatting away with that annoying brunette.

"Dad, you wanted to see me?" Taylor asked as she stepped into her father's office.

"Ah yes, Taylor. Have a seat. I have case for you."

"A case?"

"Yes. A young mother is suing the father for custody of their children on the grounds that the father is an alcoholic. I want you and Eli to represent the mother," Jordan said.

"Me and Eli?" Taylor questioned.

"Yes, you and Mr. Stone will be working on this case together. That won't be conflicting with your past history, will it?" Jordan asked gently. Taylor smirked. 'This will be my perfect chance to talk with Eli and hopefully show him I am sticking around no matter what,' she thought triumphantly.

"No, Dad. I enjoy working with Eli," Taylor replied quickly.

"… Alright then. Go and inform him," Jordan said, looking back down at his papers

Taylor hesitated at the door. "… Dad, there's something you should know. I… I still love Eli. I'll always love Eli and I am going to get him back. I let him and his visions scare me off before, but it won't happen again. He is my soul mate and deep down I'm sure he knows it too. I just have to prove it to him," she said, with no doubt in her voice. Jordan glanced up at her and raised an eyebrow.

"I know you still love Eli. Why do you think I gave you this case together?"

"W-what?" Taylor asked, clearly surprised.

"I can tell by look in your eye. You can always tell if a person is in love by the look in their eye. And honey… You most definitely have that look when you see Eli. I have always taught you go after what you want, and if Eli is what you want… So be it."

˜Dad…" Taylor whispered, eyes prickling with tears.

"Go talk to Eli, honey," Jordan said, dismissing his daughter with a slight smile.

"Thank you," Taylor said quietly, leaving her father's office in search of her one love, Eli Stone.
