A beautiful, black wolf ran for her life through the woods. Gun shots rang in the air. She could hear them zoom past her, missing her by about a foot. She felt a sharp pain in her right shoulder. She howled out in pain but didn't stop in fear of the death that awaited her if she did.
She heard the voices of men yelling behind her. "Get her! Don't let her get away! Shoot her Shoot her!" She ran faster trying to distance the length between her and her pursuers. She felt another sharp pain in back.
Just then a man jumped out in front of her. He aimed the gun right towards her. She knew if he got this shot at her head she would be done for. She jumped right as she heard the bang of the gun. She felt it pierce her just above the heart. She trip and fell, but picked herself right back up just as quick. Ignoring the searing pain she dodged the man and ran onwards towards the clearing. From there she could change and if necessary defend herself. She had only a couple more miles to run after that to get to her partner.
She could see the clearing right in front of her. When she burst out of the clearing she jumped right bye a guy. He looked at her in astonishment as she bounded again and into a girl. He instantly recognized her from her clothing and hair. "It's Horo" he whispered to himself.
He took off after her. Just then the gunners who had been after her ran into the clearing. The man through down a smoke bomb and disappeared. They stood around wondering were the man and their quarry had gone.
As the man ran after Horo he called out to her "Horo it's me stop." When she heard the voice she jumped high into the air and turned around. When she did the man got a good look at her then. She was bleeding horribly. She looked determined and harsh still.
" Than! Go away! I don't have time to deal with you right now." Yelled Horo at Than.
"You're going to die of blood loss soon if you don't stop!" pleaded Than.
"No. Now go away # eleven." Horo answered. "And I'm not going to die of blood loss. I'm the Black Cat." Horo said.
Horo turned away and jumped on more time to get some really height and distance between her and Than. Than got a gun out his bag and shot a dart right at Horo. It hit her right in the neck just as she reached the height of the huge jump. She stiffened for a moment and then slumped in unconsciousness. He ran under her and caught her in her fall. She was totally limp in his arms. He looked down at her, his stomach clenched at the sight of her bloody body.
"I'm not going to let you die Horo. I'm not going to lose you." Said Than to the unconscious Horo.
He knew of only one place were he could take her. There was an underground hospital not far away that took #s and criminals. He ran as fast as he could.
When he reached the hospital he ran in.
"Ahh… Look what we have here. The legendary Black Cat and # 11. How nice to see you. What can I do for you this fine night?" A young, tall man said. He had white hair and glasses.
"What do you think I need you to do stupid?!"
"Well you don't have to get mad" the man whined. He took Horo and went into a room. He laid her on the bed then said something under is breath. His hands started to glow blue. He went over Horo's body and were ever he touched healed.
"There. Is that better?" the man said still whining a little.
"Yes. That will do." Than said "Can she go home now?"
"She's been totally healed so I don't know why not."
Than picked up Horo. "Put it on the company's bill." Than said over his shoulder. He walked out with out another word. The white haired man shook his head.
"After all this time he still hasn't changed. That boy loves her and yet she rejects him. Hmm… sounds like a soap opera." He chuckled.
