I sat, eating leftover pizza from last night at the kitchen table. Charlie was still at the station and wouldn't be back until 11:00. It was a Friday night, and Edward had been gone hunting since Wednesday. I'd been missing him terribly.

The lights were dim as usual, and it was dark outside, raining. Edward wasn't aloud over past 9:00, not that it ever stopped him from coming through my window every night. It was now 10:00.

I was taking the last bite of my pizza, when I saw the doorknob across the room turn. I sat, frozen, staring at it. The door was locked, and I was the only one with a key, other than Charlie, and I didn't hear a car door. The door opened slowly, and there he was.

It was him.

"Edward!" I said, not sure why I was whispering.

"Edward, you- you scared me," I choked, tears slowly forming in my eyes.

I didn't know why I was crying. I've been missing him to death these past few days. I was upset and scared, so I cried. This was normal for me, but Edward never took it lightly.

"Bella!" he cried, flashing toward me.

"I'm- I'm sorry, Edward, I'm fine," I told him, wiping my tears with my hand.

"Bella," he repeated, looking into my eyes. I looked up at him, before collapsing into his arms, sobbing.
