Roxas
3
I was a Nobody for 3 minutes before the Organization tried to put me in a cloak.
2
I arrived in The World That Never Was 2 hours after my birth as a Nobody.
1 ½
A day and a half after my room was settled, I met him. We were having our evening meal/briefing in ½ Being's Dining Hall. His hair and eyes were ridiculously colored. Sharp face. Sharper grin. Obscenely tall. Painfully thin. Not particularly good looking, but his self-assured aura said he thought he was.
He stared at me the entire time.
27
After the briefing, I wandered around the Castle.
I was in The Room of Appearing Platforms That Jingle When Stepped On That Really Shouldn't Have Been for 27 minutes before someone else jingled in.
He said he heard my name was Roxas.
I said I heard he was irritating.
His name was Axel. A-X-E-L—
I told him I'd remember to forget that and pointedly jangled away.

For the next week and 2 days he made a point of spelling his name and saying something retarded whenever I was within earshot.
I put extra effort into avoiding him.
On the 9th day of his idiocy, I found him leaning against my door, looking conspicuous.
Wary, I approached and he perked up.
He told me I was cute.
How did he have the balls to look me in the eye and say something so stupid?
There wasn't much to reply with in the face or such retardation.
So I punched him in the gut and shoved him away from my door.
36
I was in The Dastardly Kitchen of Darkness, Despair, And a Leaky Sink That Xemnas Should Get On Soon for 36 minutes when he entered.
I ignored him and ate my Bran Yums in silence.
Hopelessness's Fridge opened and red hair poked in. When it resurfaced its face winked at me.
I didn't respond, continued to not quite ignore him.
The winky eye smirked.
17
I'd been done with that particular breakfast for 17 days before he was on my door again.
He said I was like a fluffy but lethal kitten.
47
Eyes sparkled and lips grinned for 47 seconds before I reacted. He expected me to hit him in the stomach again but his vexing smirk was as cocky as it had ever been.
I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction.
So I kicked his shin and, when he bent, elbowed him in the head.

He managed, somehow, to worm his way into my schedule. For 5 months we were partners. At least once a week he would tell me I was cute in some way and then I would hurt him.
It was an aggravating ritual, but I got used to it.
183
I knew him for 183 days before I decided to do something about our irksome routine.
He told me I could out adorable a room full of puppies, kittens, and babies.
Instead of the usual, I just looked at him.
He grinned down at me.
13
He continued grinning for 13 seconds before he cackled and ruffled my hair.
He slung an arm around me and tugged me off for ice cream.
21
He teased me even more often, 2-4 times a day for the next 21 weeks. Each time he grinned a little broader.
1
I was a few weeks away from the one year anniversary of my Non Birth when I first began to think deeply about what came before.
My memories. My Somebody.
The many things that I did not know.
4
The first time I told him was 4 days after I'd heard the name Sora.
He told me I'd make baby pandas jealous.
I told him I was leaving.
He smirked.
76
We stayed in his room laughing, talking, and playing video games for 76 hours. But I wasn't disappointed; no heart.
7
I made plans to go 7 hours after I left his room.
But before I left I had to take a stroll to The Skyscraper.
8
I got in 8 minutes of nostalgia before he ruined it.
0
I told him no one would miss me, that there was no 'we,' no 'Axel & Roxas.'
He was a Nobody that I would love if I had a heart and I was his distraction.
There is no rhythm to the numbers they're just random.
