"Bring me the sunset in a cup."

Quaxo blinked, looking at the white queen in his arms. "What?" She looked back, sleep apparent in her eyes and voice when she replied, "The sunset, bring it to me in a cup. Your magic cup." The tuxedo patterned tom pulled his queen closer to him and kissed the top of her head.

He always loved it when she was only half awake. She let her mind open up, turned off her filter and let him know everything her heart desired. He thought about telling her it wasn't the cup that was magic, but decided to let her live her fantasy. "Alright, I'll do that. I'll put the sunset my cup, just for you Vic," he finally told her quietly. She didn't hear him though, she'd already slipped back into a full slumber. The magic cat smiled softly and gave Victoria another small kiss before very carefully getting out of their nest.

A warm glow seeping through her eyelids is what awoke the soft white queen two mornings later. A warm glow and no Quax. Confused, she set up on her elbows and looked around. Next to her was a cup that she knew very well, Quaxo used it in his magic act as Mistoffelees. The glow was coming from the cup, a soft pink-orange glow.
