Full Summary:
Mary Patrick was a normal seventeen-year-old girl except for one thing. She was an orphan. Now she lives one the streets. What happens when Walker comes across this intelligent young girl? Will he take her in & raise her? And what does Alex think of this new addition to their family?
Mary Patrick:
I once had a family, but that was years ago. I've been living on the streets since I was twelve-years-old. My parents had been killed in a car accident. And I had all my stuff in three duffel bags, two backpacks, and four purses. The rest of my family's things were in storage. I kept a video diary of my life on the streets, barely turning the video camera on unless I had something to talk about.
Mary Patrick wasn't my full name. I had had a last name, but since I never used it anymore, I had sort of forgotten what it was. But what I did know was that my parents were buried in the Dallas Cemetery. I have been going there with all of my stuff when I get lonely. I would always grab a fresh looking flower from someone else's grave and put it on my parents' grave. With the little money I made, I would buy food for that could last a few weeks. I would buy crackers, peanut butter, water bottles & some canned tuna. Those went into the purses. I kept the water bottles in the bottle holders on my backpacks.
I was out looking for a place to sleep when the cops showed up…
