Ritual
Instead of simple habits, Conrad had rituals.
There was just something in the soldier's movements, expressions, and word choices that seemed to elevate the mundane. Perhaps, it was his upbringing as a prince or his training as a solider. But whatever it was, it was uniquely Conrad.
Some of these rituals met with instant approval from the human, while some needed a bit of time to grow on the aspiring hero.
But his favorite, by far, was the way Conrad insisted on bringing him to climax first. It was also the only ritual Alford was eager and intent to challenge.
