Disclaimer: I do not own the Mortal Instruments series.
Clary Pov.
Ha. She laughed.
But nothing was funny anymore…
In fact it just made her pissed. Thinking what he did to her. How he made her think. How he made her feel.
She couldn't control it.
And it made her angry.
It always felt like he was playing with her. Especially now. He wanted to be with her... he said so.
So why the sudden change now?
Why, right when she was going to tell him she didn't care what anyone else thought anymore,
did he choose the time to tell her he was going to act like her brother? Nothing more.
Maybe the angels did hate her...
So here she was.
In Pandemonium. The irony. Here is where it all started; she began to know him here. Believe in him here.
Love him here… and she wanted it to end here too.
Too forget all about him.
She could do that right?
It wasn't a demon or Valentine...
No. It was something so much harder.
How do you forget something that's in your every thought?
She didn't think she could.
But she would sure as hell try.
That's the only reason she was here. The alcohol.
She walked up to the bar and ordered the strongest drink that she could find.
In the biggest glass.
She could see his face reflected in the glass of her drink.
She choked it down in three swallows.
Drink number 1.
It burned so badly as it went down.
Jace.
She needed another.
She needed to forget.
Drink number 2.
Her throat was on fire.
His face sprung up in her head.
She let out a whimper.
Drink number 3.
It wasn't working.
She let out a frustrated moan that was lost in the music.
Number 4.
Every thought started to grow dim.
She could see the gold of his hair in her head though.
It all needed to stop.
Now.
Number 5.
Some guy asked her to dance.
She agreed.
She couldn't even see his face her eyesight was so blurry.
Who cared? Not her.
6.
Alcohoooll waas thheee beestt medicineeeeeee EVERRR. She slurred even in her thoughts.
It made her forget.
And for a moment… she was normal again.
In that moment, she was whole. Never hurt.
And she was happy.
7.
Somebody handed her pills.
She shrugged and laughed.
What ever helped her escape her mind.
8.
The dance floor was a kaleidoscope of colors.
Music pounding in her ears as she swayed to the beat.
Why was she even here she wondered.
Who cares... this was better than anything else she could have done.
9.
It was perfect.
How could she remember anyone else when she couldn't even remember who she was?
She was fading into the ground.
She wanted to forget him.
She achieved that.
He would probably worry about her with his stupid brotherlyconcern.
No. She wouldn't allow anyone to find her.
Never again.
To be found again would be to get hurt again.
But then again…
Why should she care?
No one else did.
I hope you enjoyed it. Please Review.
