Original 1955
I was riding my bike down the street when I saw a really beautiful young woman. Seeing her took my mind of Biff and his gang at the time.
I went to high school with this young woman but never had the nerve to speak to her. In my spare time, I wrote science fiction stories but didn't have the confidence to believe that my stories were good enough to be published.
I recently had breakfast at the malt shop like I do quite a bit. Unfortunately, Biff and his gang decided to show and Biff ordered me to do his homework for him and since he's bigger and tougher than me I reluctantly agreed to do it.
I watched this young woman go into her house. I parked my bike next to a tree, got my binoculars out of my bag, climbed the tree, and watched the young woman like a hawk.
I climbed up the tree to get a better look when I suddenly slipped, fell from the tree, and landed in the street. A car headed right for me and then everything went black.
When I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar room. The young woman that I had my eye on was putting a bag of ice on my head.
"How long have I been out?" I asked.
"About 8 hours," the young woman replied.
"I've seen you around school but never had the nerve to talk to you."
"I've seen you around, too."
"George McFly."
"Lorraine Baines."
Lorraine and I shook hands and we talked for a bit. She rushed out of the room when her mother called her and I slowly got out of bed and followed her out of the room.
Downstairs, Mrs. Baines introduced me to the rest of the family. Then we sat down at the table to eat while we watched TV.
"So, George, do you and my daughter Lorraine go to the same school?" Mrs. Baines asked me.
"We do," I replied. "This just happens to be the first time I've spoken to her."
"Are you planning to go to the 'Enchantment Under the Sea' dance?" Mr. Baines asked.
"Probably not unless Lorraine wants to go," I replied.
"Sounds great," Lorraine said.
"Lorraine Baines, will you go to the 'Enchantment Under the Sea' dance with me?" I asked.
"Yes, George McFly, I will go to the dance with you," Lorraine replied.
Lorraine's parents both nodded in approval. I happily spent the evening chatting with Lorraine and her family.
On Saturday night, I drove up to Lorraine's house dressed in a nice suit. I got out of my car, walked up to the house, and rang the bell.
Just then, Lorraine opened the door. She was wearing a peach dress with a white shawl.
"You look nice, Lorraine," I said shyly.
"Thanks, George," Lorraine said with a smile.
"Ready to go to the dance?"
"I am."
I held out my hand and Lorraine accepted it. Then we walked to my car.
At the dance, Lorraine and I were having a great time. We chatted, had refreshments, and danced.
Just then, a slow song came on and the two of us wrapped our arms around each other. During the song, my lips headed towards Lorraine's and we kissed.
Just then, I knew that she was the one for me. From the way she smiled at me, I saw that she felt the same way.
Later on, I was driving Lorraine home. I stopped my car in front of her house.
"Did you have a good time, Lorraine?" I asked.
"I had a great time, George," Lorraine replied.
"You want to go out to dinner next Saturday night?"
"I would love to do that."
We got out of the car and I walked Lorraine to the door. We said goodnight to each other and kissed on the lips.
As soon as Lorraine made it inside her house, I headed for my car. I started the engine and drove down the street with a happy feeling.
The End
