This popped into my head after watching all the promos for tonight's episode.

Broken
Dean took slow steps toward the figure in front of him. In actuality, he was only a few feet away, but to Dean, it felt like thousands of miles. With every step, the pain inside of him heightened. Dean was shaking by the time he reached the other man, the two of them mere inches apart. He drew in a shuddering breath before calling out to the man, "Cas."
His voice sounded broken, mirroring what he felt inside. The man turned around and Dean was surprised to feel tears gathering in his eyes. He could immediately tell that something was different. This was not the same Cas that he had known before. Castiel tilted his head in confusion.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?"
Dean felt his heart clench as a single tear trailed down his cheek.
