Did You Feel it?

Rocky shut her locker door and sat down on the school bench in her hallway. She proceeded to read her history textbook when someone caught her eye.

'There he is, my best friend, just my best friend right? I know I felt a spark when I kissed him, not just the first time but the second time as well. I wonder if he felt it too? Wait, what I'm I saying? It's Deuce! The only reason there was a "spark" is because I thought he was Harrison. – Right?- Besides, he has a girlfriend, Dina! I was the one who practically set them up, along with Cece's help of course.'

Ever since Cece's surprise party, and Rocky mistakenly kissed Deuce- twice- she hadn't been able to get Deuce out of her head. Her stomach had butterflies every time she saw him- kind of like right now- and she had to get to the bottom of what it meant.

'The only way to know for sure if I really do like Deuce, is to somehow kiss him again- without Dina finding out.' Just at that moment Deuce came and sat beside Rocky. "Hey Blue!" "Sup, Martinez!", Rocky replied with a huge smile. 'Really? 'Sup Martinez' is that the best you can do? Pull it together Blue!' " So Deuce, where's your better half?" Deuce raised his eyebrows and said, "My better half? Where's yours? You and Cece are virturally never apart." Rocky laughed. "Cece's out sick today." " Ya? Dina's out too." "Must've been the shrimp!" They both said in unison. After sharing a laugh, Rocky took a deep breath and sighed. 'Here goes nothing.' She thought to herself.

"Deuce could I ask you something?" "Shoot," he said. "Well about the other day... you know when I...I... um ... ah ... had mistaken you for Harrison..." Deuce's cheeks started to turn red. "...well about those kisses...I just wanted to say-" Deuce cut her off. "Rocky it's okay," he said as he stood up. "I know what you're going to say and you don't have to say it. I feel the same way too." He gave her a quick wink and walked away. Rocky's heart suddenly skipped a beat as she watched her best friend walk away. 'He feels the same way? Now I'm more confused than ever.'
