Supplication

The Ministry of Magic had made a grave mistake leaving Albus Dumbledore in charge of Harry Potter's welfare after the death of James and Lily Potter, the imprisonment of Sirius Black, death of Peter Pettigrew and the disappearance of Remus Lupin.

They had made a mistake because the old man was completely psychotic.

Minerva McGonagall had been worried the day they had taken Harry to number 4 Privet Drive. There was an overwhelming sense of dread as they placed the Savior of the wizarding world on the doorstep of as she'd clearly put it, "The worst kind of muggle."

But no, Albus had said this was the best place for him and Albus was always right…

She still believed he was right when a scrawny, evidently malnourished Harry Potter stepped off the Hogwarts Express.

She still believed it when he was almost killed going after the Philosopher's stone.

She still believed it when he kept coming back from the holidays skinnier then the year before.

She believed it when he fought the Bassilisk, when he met Sirius Black, when Albus let him compete in the Triwizard tournament and even when Sirius died for their cause, she believed Albus was right.

But when Draco Malfoy took a beaten, bruised and almost dead Harry Potter from number 4 Privet drive she began to have her doubts.
