Prologue
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Really.
I began watching my creation rise to a three dimensional hologram. I opened a map of New York (state), also in a three dimensional format, on an identical scale. After comparing the two I sighed unhappily. No vacant lots large enough near camp. It's time to trust my instincts. Close my eyes and lea .My cell phone ring cut intomy thoughts. Before answering I checked the caller ID. Dad. "Come home now." He said curtly and hung up. "Home." I said, wondering if Verity, the ultra sensitive, futuristic robot I designed to run my lab, sensed how much I missed the days were camp was home. Either way, when I opened the rosewood doors leading in and out of my lab I was on my fathers' lawn. Luckily I ended up in front of the kitchen window. Looking in I saw my father, step mother, and half siblings tied in the kitchen, and beside them were Kampe, a few half bloods I recognized from camp and Lu… no, Kronos, Kronos. I dropped below the window and listened, popping my electric translator into my ear. "If she isn't here within five minutes they tricked us, so kill them." Kronos' icy, deep voice sent chills down my spine almost as much as what he said. I quickly decided that to do, crawling to the other side of the house, careful no windows gave me away. I noticed the rest of the house was swarming with minor monsters and mortals and even one minor god. My family would be dead if my plan didn't work. Well, here goes…
I twisted the emerald in my ring till the realistic hologram of me popped up. Controlling it with my cell phone I made her walk to the door and played a knocking noise, hoping they wouldn't tell me to let myself in, because holograms have no material substance. I heard the door open, and sent the hologram running. "Bring her back alive. Well? What are you waiting for? Go!" a stream of monsters and mortals left my house chasing the hologram. "Kampe, the others will catch her. I require your assistance in another matter."
Damn. I need them to leave! "Yes, Lord." Kampe said. "Go to Perseus Jacksons school, and bring him to our headquarters. We will capture both our current top targets today!" Do they have Nico? He's younger than Sea Weed Brain but as much as I hate to admit it, it would be much easier to persuade him to join Kronos. He nurses grudges, it's his fatal flaw and, unfortunately, Kronos knows it. Okay, deep breath. One: get SWB to camp. Two: Find out what happened to Nico. Three: Get my family to safety. Four: figure out what the hell is going on.
A/n: Review! Further chapters will be longer.
