Regina Mills wished she could say that an email from Emma Swan was the last thing she expected when she opened her inbox during lunch. Unfortunately, she had become accustomed to seeing the sheriff's name pop up at random intervals of the day. Even more unfortunate was that Regina had actually found herself disappointed when they didn't come in. The Mayor's schedule was considerably busier than Emma's, but it was nice to have something to sit down to on her downtime. Even if it was useless prattling by the biggest pain in her ass around.

Regina,
You know, dropping a ton of paperwork off to me the day before you need it isn't really the best way to ensure it gets done.

P.S. Dinner at 7pm?
It would be an understatement to say Regina was shocked at the post script. So it had come to this, had it? Emma thought it safe to venture outside of the inbox, take their civil correspondence into something else. The more she thought about it, the more she realized she didn't have the right to be surprised. They'd flirted. Emailed for hours at a time on several different occasions. Regina had been something akin to nice, and passing looks at town meetings had been a little less hostile as of late.
But that didn't give Emma the right to assume. Regina would make that clear immediately.

Sheriff,
It is of no concern of mine to make your job easier. I expect that paperwork at dinner tonight.

Blinking at the screen, Regina reclined in her office chair; that hadn't been the direction she had expected to go in. She had no idea why she'd clicked send. You're a complete sucker, she thought to herself, folding one leg over another and waiting on the return email. You'd better wrap her around your finger as tightly as she has you around hers.
The return email was almost immediate. Regina jumped, her hand flying to her wireless mouse and clicking on the email. A smirk graced her beautiful features at the words glaring back at her from the screen.
