Prompt from tumblr: putthepromptsonpaper

"He felt like the clouds, blown away and torn apart."

The faith put over his very existence was unfair to a shadow being, called Dark Link. His life in the hands of Goddesses and evildoers for their uses only. Never did they ask him if he wanted to help them in their quest. Always-on command and obeying their wishes.

His job always dealing with the Hero.

Just the goody-good two shoes, who does his hardest on saving Hyrule. Unlike the Shadow being, the hero could get little sidetrack and still complete the main goal—the major, number one quest. But himself?

Be a good little obedient shadow and test the hero; villain's case: kill the pest. Never did he get ask if, maybe, he wanted to protect the princess for once or capture her—either nor, it didn't matter to him. He did it once or twice, if he recall, under a different name: Shadow Link.

Surely Ganondorf, Vaati, or whoever, could trust him to do the task once more?

Now as he watch the twilight sky, in its glory of smoky yellow and black, he yawn. His arms spread out on either side from him to feel the dew grass. It could only be a matter of time before someone came to him and demand his serves. The distance sounds of approaching twi-monsters, seeing the world without fear of the sunlight—just like himself. Somehow, he knew they won't bother with him unless he would provoke them. So he stayed in his spot being lazy for once.

Watching the thick clouds drift by, he had a sudden thought of what he was like other than a shadow or a monster: a cloud.

And that's how he felt like. He felt like the clouds, blown away and torn apart in fate's hands, and he couldn't do nothing about it.

I like the quote of 'He felt like the clouds, blown away and torn apart,' and it made me think of Dark Link the most. : )

I might do more small one-shots for Dark Link alone, but maybe not often and only if I write random short ones or find ones from tumblr prompts that fit Dark Link in my mind.

Until next time...
