CHAPTER PROLOGUE: AWAKENINGS
Cold. I felt my body going numb as my body was immersed in some sort of liquid. My face, turning blue, I attempted to gasp for air.
As I struggled to rise above the liquid, a mysterious voice rang in my ear.
"Carter… are you ready for this responsibility?" said the voice.
I shuddered. The voice tasted like poisoned honey.
"Be careful! I don't have much time," continued the voice, sounding worried.
Before I could responded, my eyes dimmed until all I could see was pitch black.

I woke up, face drenched with sweat. I leaned my back against the bedframe, lower body draped with a white blanket.
"What kind of dream was that?" I muttered to myself.
I suddenly slapped myself in sudden realization. "Oh crap! Today was supposed to be the day I was going to receive my first start and begin with my Pokemon journey."
Istepped off my bed, walking towards the closet which contains all of myclothing.
I grinned as I grabbed a red shirt with a white collar. "Perfect…" I wore it over a white shirt. I then grabbed a red cap. My favorite one. "Better finish this journey with style!"
After finishing with my preparations, I walked downstairs. My mother, a black-haired woman, sat by the table near the only television in the house.
I waved at her, sitting down across her. "Where's breakfast?!"
My mother just grinned at me with a nod. "Just be careful with your journey."
Confused, I stood up. I then made my way towards the door. Giving my mother one last look, I exited the house.

Well… this was quite short. This would be one of the chapters where the POV would be Carter, the main character. This is slightly based on my Pokemon Fire Red Nuzlocke so stay tuned for that. Next chapter would be big, introducing the starters and other pinnacle characters.
