When Fire Falls For Ice
old story wont be edited
Kai felt his body smashed to the ground, his entire front plastered to the fake wood flooring of the dojo. Him and Zane were the only one's in the room. The spikey haired nindroid had him pinned face down on the floor. "It seems as though you are not all together there, my friend. Distraction will be a big part of your demise." His voice was calm, a smirk upon his lips.
"Yeah yeah, I know." The red ninja huffed moving to get up, but only being pushed back down.
"What is the reason for your incapability of focus, Kai?"
The brunette tried to glare back at the other, but with his cheek mashed to the floor it was difficult. "It doesn't matter. Just something I've been going through."
"I sense you are not telling me the truth... I also sense that it has to do with myself."
Kai always forgot this guy was like a fucking mind reader or something! He was ridiculously good at picking up on things.
"No, it's not." He tried to get up again.
"You are lying to me." Zane pushed him back down, leaning down close to him, "Will you please tell me what I did wrong so that I may fix it?"
Kai said nothing, only burned his gaze into the floor with his cheeks catching the fire themselves and lighting up with deep red to match his outfit.
"Maybe... It is not something I did... But something I have yet to do? Why else would you be so embarrassed at my closeness, Kai? Except if you had feelings for me in the way most call, love."
Still only silence.
"Hmm. Well, obviously that is the correct assumption, thus making it fact... You know, you could have just talked to me."
The pinned man wiggled a bit, "You should have just left it alone, Zane..."
"No, no. I couldn't possibly." He let the other go and sat down, crossing his legs and sending a smile Kai's way. "Come, sit." Zane patted the place beside him, looking to the red ninja as he cooperatively sat down.
The silence stretched before Kai spoke, "You, you can't tell anyone I like you. I know you can't like me back, but whatever. Since you know now, keep it a secret. Alright?"
"Anything for you, Kai."
Another long silence.
"Zane," The brunette pulled his legs up and balanced by putting his hands flat against the ground slightly behind him and leaning his head back a bit. "Do you understand how I feel?"
"No, I'm sorry, I do not, but I can analyze it and make a guess on how it must feel if you'd prefer that." He answered only truthfully.
"Nah, that's okay. Thanks anyway." He frowned and gave a soft sigh. "I guess I should thank you. This would have gone on forever if you hadn't figured it out. I would be in my 60s thinking 'Wow I wonder if Zane actually liked me.' Which would be stupid with you being a robot and all."
The ice ninja smiled, bumping the other with his shoulder on accident as he leaned a bit, "Yes, I would guess so. I'm sorry for not being able to make you happy, though."
"That's fine. For some reason I thought you'd have proper emotions. I'll get over this soon." Kai bluffed, having had his heart set on this man(?) for awhile.
"I sense you won't, but eventually, you will. My predictions say that if I..." He searched for the word, "'kiss' you, it would make you feel 57.625% better."
Kai finally gave him a smile back, looking over to him, "Yeah. That would make me feel % better." He loved how exact Zane was.
"May I?" Zane appreciated that the other was smiling and when he got a nod in response to his question, he pressed his cold, soft lips to Kai's. A warm hand rested on his shoulder and it almost felt like he was melting.
The red ninja felt a shudder run down his body, a chill going through him. Zane was practically burying him in snow.
The contrast was almost ridiculous, but it made that kiss so much better.
Fire and Ice, you know?
