Gaara and Sasuke were lovers, or, at least, that's what their friends called them. Ever since the day that Gaara came to the village for the Chuunin exams nothing's been the same.
Ever since Gaara looked up and saw him, Sasuke, returning his glance, they both knew something would happen. They weren't sure, but one day a situation would arise that would make each others hearts stop.

Prologue: "The Incident"
"SASUKE!!" The worried Naruto screamed out as a truck whirled past his best friend, no, his brother.
"BE CAREFUL SASUKE-KUN!!" A just as worried Sakura called out to the one she loved as he played in traffic.
"Didn't your mother tell you any better!?" A now annoyed Temari yelled out to him before walking away with Kankurou.
"Don't worry dobe, I won't get hurt, trust me", a positive Sasuke called out to his team-mates.
He had told him during the Chuunin exams, he had told him that he'd be watching him with close eyes. Now, Sasuke, he always had to make sure of what people said was true or not. So shoving himself into a death-defying activity was completely normal for "The Avenger."
"Sasuke! Watch out for the..." Naruto screamed but suddenly halted his comment as Sasuke was pulled from his death by someone unknown.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura called out running over to find no-one with the Uchiha boy.
"He...he didn't lie..."
He was positive, he was positive that it couldn't happen, not with him, not with anyone like him, he was too extravagant and Sasuke truly believed he didn't deserve him. Now he was going to have to answer to everybody. Oh, won't that be fun?
"Who didn't lie Sasuke-kun?" a pleading Sakura asked with concern.
"He...said he would and, he did..." Sasuke said, his mind still blown from what just happened.
"Teme you're not making any sense!!" A now frustrated Naruto shouted at his make-believe brother.
"I...I have to go!" Sasuke shouted before getting up from the ground and running off to find, him.
As he runs off to someplace unknown, he watches from the rooftops, making sure his love is safe. He will always be there, until Sasuke loses his life, then, as was planned, he will kill himself. His name? Sabaku no Gaara.
