Basic Nature

It was a warm night in Waycross of 2013. In the two months following my aunt's disappearance, I had scoured the city looking for her to no avail. That brought me to the woods that night. Disheartened I decided to bring some friends with me to camp.

"Janie are you ok?" Josh asked.

"Yeah just hope we find Aunt Mel soon." I said. After a few hours of searching we stopped for the night and made camp. As time went on the others went to bed. Still worried I went out again. About a half an hour of searching, I got lost.

"Darn I'm lost." I said aloud. I suddenly heard rustling behind me. I whipped around to see something odd. A woman stood behind me. She was in ragged clothes. Her face was thin and sunken in, and she was boney. Except for a bulbous belly. I heard an unmistakable wheezing.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Friend." She said weakly taking me by the hand. After walking a mile we came to the mouth of a cave. She led us into the darkness. She was weak, so she fell. I caught her. She was breathless.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Remember voice Angel." She replied weakly.
