Appearances Can Be Deceiving

I had to write four poems for English class on
different themes. But while I was trying to write them,
Matt and T.K. just seemed to be stuck in my head. So three
of my poems were about them. The other two are "Making a
Choice: Divorce in a Young Boy's Eyes", which is from
Matt's point of view, and "He Knew His Time was Coming",
which is from T.K.'s point of view. This poemfic also
just happened to be from T.K.'s point of view, I mean,
both are from little T.K.'s point of view. Now here's
the poem.
I know he seems so very cold
But you just don't understand
The feelings he tries to withhold
For him to tell you of these feelings
Of him don't demand
Appearances can be deceiving
All this time he's tried to act cool
I've always known how he's felt, me he can't fool
He's protected me so many times
He just doesn't want to show his true feelings, is that really such a crime?
He's kinder than he looks, innocent and warm
He tries to be cool, and tries to perform
He's really not that bad
Once you get to know him
The knowledge of him before that you had
I hope isn't any longer so dim
Please understand how he's feeling
Appearances can be so very deceiving
