Note: To fully understand the poem you can read my story "Where the Road Leads".
At Home at last
Here I am bound
My grief is past
My Joy is found
The Road was long
It journeyed far
By morning song
By twinkling star
The longest quest
Ahead it loomed
In travels blessed
In travels doomed
Where would it lead?
I knew not where
I did not heed,
I did not dare
My path so worn
The woe too near
A burden borne
And no more cheer
Across the Sea
Into the West
He then saw me
He gave me rest
His Eyes of gold
Could search, could seek
So warm, so old
Well, so to speak
His Breath my cure
His Voice my peace
And now I'm sure
My sorrows cease
At Home at last
Here I am bound
My Grief is past
My Joy is found
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
