What I think Rory's experience going to her dorm felt like to her and what she was thinking and feeling. I do not own the characters! Review when done!

Rory was just finishing up a few things in her room. She finally graduated and

has gotten into Yale, much to her grandparents pleasure. Today was the day she

needed to move into her dorm. Truth be told she really doesn't want to leave he

childhood home. True her and her mom lives in a shed till she was 10 but this is

her home. Stars hollow is her home.

She puts a little silver locket she got from her mom when she was little in a

shoe box along with momentous from high school. She picks up a picture from the

star light festival her junior year. The picture was of her and her mom outside

the gazebo. That night was the first snow of the season and everyone knows that

the first snow is magical. She put the picture back in the box and carried out

of her room.

"ready to go sweets?" the elder Gilmore said trying to fight back the tears

threatening to fall.

"yeah, kinda I'm just really gunna miss this place. You know lots of memories."

she said looking roulette living room.

"yeah but you will make more memories at school. And it's not like your gunna be

gone forever. Your coming home every chance you get."

"I will I promise. Let's go I think dad's waiting. Hey can we strop at luke's?"

"of course" Loreali said with a smile on her face.

When the Rory, Loreali, and Christopher walk out of lukes with their to go food

rory starts to get worried about the next chapter in her life. They all pile

into her dads SUV and she puts her iPod on. She listens to Leaving Home by Katie

Armiger. Rory starts to. Drift off to sleep.

"honey you need to wake up. We are here." Rory faintly heard. She can't believe

she was here. She pocketed her iPod and got out of the car to help unload. She

walked into the Branford dorm and to her room. It seems she was the first one

there. The dorm had a living area and a bathroom off to the side. It also had

two bedrooms. One bedroom had a post it note with initials on it that were not

hers but the next one did. Her mom dad and herself started to set up the room.

Far too soon they were done. After saying goodbye to her dad, Chris decided to

wait in the car so her and lor could have time alone.

"this is it sweets. Here is some money I know you don't need it but please take

it." lor said tearing up

"mommy I'm really gonna miss you. I'll be home as much as I can and I'll call

you everyday."

"I know honey. I love you so much and Ionia your gunna do amazing things. I have

to go now your roommates are gunna start to show up. Your food is in the mini

fridge since you fell asleep on the way here."

"bye mom and Tunis for everything. I love you so much." Rory said giving her mom

one last hug.

After Loreali left Rory went into her room and set her shoebox of momentous on

the bed and started to go through it. Something told her she was going to be

just fine here.
