"Ahh. Finally handled that super nova!" He exclaimed as he flew across the console. Pushing buttons and pulling levers causing his machine to purr and crankily jostle every which direction. He adjusts his bowtie and stares into the mirror like surface of the monitor. Pulling a fez from beneath the console of the TARDIS, The Doctor places it on his head and re-inspects himself. "Yeah, fezzes are cool."
Meanwhile
Jack wanders through the forest. "Now where did I go? Its been decades since I last been here but I know it was somewhere around this wood." He passes towering trees that are black and grey and striped ever so perfectly. He leans momentarily upon a tree to rest under the pumpkin sun. Zero barks energetically at him from afar. "Zero! I thought I told you to stay with Sally and the little ones." Jack smiles at his phantom dog as he floats next to him. "Zero, now go back home. I will only be about an hour or so, I just wanted to see how old Saint Nick is doing is all." Zero whimpers as Jack trudges forward.
After what seemed like hours, Jack finds the thick trunked trees he so fondly remembers of his time all those years ago. His hand grazes the trunk of the St. Patrick's Day tree, as he walks into the middle of the perfect ring of trees. Jack gazes upon the tree with the coniferous pine he grew to love. Just as he was approaching the ornament shaped knob, a noise infiltrated his skull. It sounded like a wheezing machine. His scientific curiosity peaked as he went in search of this uncommonly new sound.
Ducking around a few more trees, Jack comes to a similar outcropping only there is just one solitary tree with a door. "This door is different than the others." He speaks. He examines the tree, and then the small tokens underneath; A long multicolored scarf, some glasses with one lens red and the other blue, a fez, and what appears to be a bowtie. Jack's vision drifts up to the door. It is marvelously blue with a light on top that appears to be flashing. There are windows just at Jack's eye level yet the inside is blurred. The sound blares again, louder than before, as if it is coming closer. Jack notices his hand reaching for the handle and quickly stops mid reach. "No, I promised Sally I would be back soon so we could celebrate Christmas."
As he begins to turn, the sound is so loud Jack could have sworn it was bellowing in his skull. "Maybe a quick peek." He surrenders to his curiosity and opens the door and steps into the darkness blindly.
The Doctor tries frantically to gain control of his ship. "C'mon old girl! You were fine a second ago!" He frantically bangs a hammer against the console until something sparks and hisses. The Doctor retracts his hand immediately and goes to bang on another part of the console when everything became still again. "What in Gallifrey was that all about?" He turns towards the door and is met with a bony obstacle that towers over him. He backs up a few paces to marvel at the large skeleton-like creature in front of him. "Well hello!" He says with a grin. "You are something new!"
