A/N: Miss me? Sorry, I just haven't had any ideas for The Outsiders at all. But here's something, even though it's really short! Hopefully I come up with an actual story soon!

Ponyboy stared at the blank piece of paper in front of him, trying to think of something to write.

"Come on, think!" he said out loud to himself. After about fifteen minutes he threw the pencil down and laid his head down on the table. Sodapop came home from work and saw his brother.

"Whatcha doin' Pony?" he asked. Ponyboy just groaned, not looking up. Soda laughed a little. "Trying to write again?" Pony nodded.

"Yeah. I can't seem to be able to think of anything though." Soda shook his head.

"I don't know how you do it, kid, but I'm sure you'll think of somethin'," he said, messing up his little brother's hair. Pony sat there for a few more minutes, then got up and took a Pepsi from the refrigerator. Maybe having something to drink would help. No such luck. He felt like his head was full of nothing. He just couldn't think for some reason. He had been sitting there for a couple hours when Darry came in and made some coffee. Soda sat next to Ponyboy, looking at the still blank paper.

"Gee, kid, you still got nothin'?" Pony rubbed his face with his hands.

"No." Darry smiled.

"Writin' huh?"

"I would be if I could think of something. Do you guys have any ideas?"

Darry shrugged and Soda said, "If I get any, I'll be sure to let you know. Can't guarantee they'll be any good, though." Darry took a sip of his coffee.

"Well, maybe you just need to take a break from it for a while and come back to it later." Ponyboy thought for a minute and suddenly his eyes brightened. He grabbed his pencil and finally started to write. The two older brothers smiled and left the room, leaving their kid brother to his work.
