Okay, introducing another character to you here that I hope you all love and he's very different from Makoto as well. The prompt used for this is 'excited'. There's also a reason why their last name and practically all of their last names are not what you'd expect.

"Mom! I don't have time for breakfast!" Daichi Miyamoto's voice called through the lounge room of the Miyamoto household.

"I am not letting you go to your soccer match without at least toast, Dai," Miyako said frowning as she put her hands on her hips. Oh great, his mother had that look in her eyes again and he knew there was no arguing. He turned to his father but Daisuke simply shook his head at him, mirth in his eyes as he went back to reading the paper. Great, he was on his own here.

"Mom," Daichi whined. "I'm running late." He ran his fingers through his brown spikes as he pouted, trying to give his mother the doe eyes.

"Dai, you won't be able to focus on soccer if you're hungry," Daisuke said, putting his newspaper down to focus on his son. "Chibi…" He cringed a little, before shaking it off. "Our coach used to always say a good breakfast is necessary. So come on, little guy, eat."

Daichi sighed, before spreading strawberry jam onto his toast, folding it and beginning to chew through it. The sweet taste of the jam sent a jolt of energy through his system.

"Are you excited for the match?" Miyako asked him, sitting besides him.

"Yeah, of course Mom!" Daichi said, eyes twinkling with happiness. "I mean, Sayo said she'd come watch me and see me play." Sayo Yamada, daughter of Ken and Hikari Yamada, had to be the most beautiful girl he had ever laid his eyes on and he loved spending time with her, she'd always make time for his soccer games and he'd always make time to read the wonderful stories she wrote, she had such an awesome imagination after all.

"I'm sure she will," Miyako said with a small laugh, tousling her son's hair and Daisuke grinned at him.

"That's my boy, already catching the ladies," Daisuke said and Daichi turned red.

"Dad!" Daichi moaned, honestly why were parents always so embarrassing? "Sayo's my best friend and I love having her support."

"I know kiddo, I was just teasing you," Daisuke said with a lopsided grin and Daichi rolled his eyes, quickly finishing his breakfast and standing up.

"Ok, Mom, Dad, I'm gonna go now okay?" Daichi said, hurriedly putting his soccer backpack around his shoulders.

Miyako kissed Daichi's cheek, before giving him a hug. "Take care, Dai. Daisuke and I will be there once your game starts."

Daichi beamed at his parents, although shifted out of his mother's arms before running out the door.

Miyako turned to Daisuke. "What's wrong?"

Daisuke blinked. "What do you mean?"

"I noticed your slip-up," Miyako said softly. "When you were telling Dai to have breakfast, you mentioned 'Chibi' and then you trailed off."

Daisuke blinked as his wife mentioned that and grimaced, his head beginning to hurt. He felt as if he should know who this 'Chibi' was but he really didn't know who or what he was talking about. It was like whenever he said something like this, something clawed at the back of his mind but everything was still scratchy. Nothing seemed to clear up. Before he could dwell on it too much, he felt his wife's arms go around and he pulled her close into his arms. "I don't know, Miyako. I have no idea why I said that. I'm as confused as you are."

Miyako gently kissed Daisuke on the cheek. "Don't worry about it. It was probably just a slip of tongue or something."

"Yeah, that's probably true," Daisuke assured but deep down, he had a feeling they both knew there was something more to this but neither of them could figure out what.
