ANOTHER CARTOON COUPLE! YEAH! I've fallen in love with it. Even if it is a silly show! ^^ DudleyxKitty. Just cause it reminds me of El and Liv.
Kitty sat on her couch, contemplating today's events. For the first time in her life, she was jealous of another woman...well dog. Contrary to the inverse situation, she wasn't just jealous of the French poodle, but of how she attracted...Dudley. She promised herself time and time again, never get involved with work, but only a month had passed, and she had fallen for that mixed breed mutt.
He was sweet,funny, a little overreactive and clumsy, but he made up for it by being the best partner she'd ever encountered. And how that tight black shirt fit each muscle of him.
She smiled to herself and shook her head. But it was stupid. Ms. Oui Oui was the Chameleon, and the whole situation made her feel so dumb for feeling that way.
A knock rapped at her door. "Kitty?" Thunder and Dudley's voice broke through her thoughts and she got up to answer the door. Rain fell down in torrents, and it showered all over Dudley, but he had a mission. And he was going to finish it no matter what it took.
"Dudley? Come in." He stepped in carefully with a forced smile. He wasted no time and turned to her. "I know how you felt about "Ms. Oui Oui"." He put air quotes around the Chameleon's fake name.
Her heart stopped as she looked down at her white boots. "Y-You do?" He nodded. "...You were jealous weren't you?" Swallowing visibly, scratched the back of her tan neck. "W-Why would you thi-"
She thought for a second. "...I wanted you to be happy with her. You deserve someone nice."
There was a long silence after that. He just wanted to catch the thick nothingness and throw words of care into them. He looked down as he mumbled so faintly, she could almost barely hear. But she heard it anyway.
"What if I told you...the only someone I wanted-was you?"
Kitty felt as if time had completely stopped. She could still hear the thunder though, she could still breathe, and Dudley was looking straight into her eyes with his pleading eyes.
"I'd say you'd be the only one...I wanted too." she whispered. His heart lightened. Dudley couldn't stop himself. He stood on his toes, grabbing her waist. He wasn't forward, like he had been before with Ms. Oui Oui. He gently kissed her on her mouth, just enough to let all of his emotion into it.
Kitty's eyes widened, and she finally pulled him closer, pulling on the back of his neck. He finally pulled away, still holding her around the waist. "You were always on my mind." she whispered into the top of his head. Dudley smiled, knowing they really were perfect partners.
"Always." he whispered.
