Mana had been Allen's home. After being abandoned and enduring the lonely life at the cold streets, this man had given him warmth and safety. He couldn't offer a spacious room or three meals a day like the Order. But he had never asked for it.

The circus they were traveling with tended to leave town after a week and Mana's tent often needed to be repaired especially in cold winter nights. So they would hide in a nest of blankets and share their warmth.

Sometimes Allen would perform after the circus' show to earn some extra money which was spent on food. It didn't happen often the boy had to steal to silence his growling stomach, so there were just a few times he was followed by furious men, that wanted to punish him for taking thier goods. But his adoptive father would never let them get to him and hid him in the safety of his shadow.

They never possessed much but the two of them knew to make the best of it. They were happy.

And Mana died.

Allen's world was torn to shreds, broken down and ripped apart. His desperate attempt to revive it just managed to shatter his hopes once more. He felt lost. He was freezing.

The years spent with his master couldn't erase the cold. Cross Marian was able to distract him from the grief but it never vanished the loss. However, he rapidly grew attached to this style of life.

But once more he was pushed away.

It didn't hurt because even if Allen was accustomed to this way it wasn't likeable. The Black Order was different.

Although they were constantly aware of the ongoing war everyone tried to remain normal. They had everything that was needed. They were like a big family.

In this family no one had a certain role because noone needed one. Sibling, Parent, Friend. It was all the same because their trust knew no boundaries in times like this.

A place you feel fond of.

Here were his beloved ones, he could share his memories and emotions with.

A place where you feel safe.

No member of the Black Order would let him succumb to fear or despair. They wouldn't allow him to repeat this mistake.

A place you can always return to.

Just like the pieces of a bigger picture, he fit into, he knew there would alway be room for him to stay.

The person who holds your heart.

But all the same the Black Order could never really become Allen's home.
