Disclaimer: I do not own the book or any characters related to the series.
AN: I decided to start fresh and re-write the story. Seeing as I kind of lost track of time and felt uninspired to continue. I hope this fresh start will allow me to finish what I have started, thank you guys for understating and without further ado I present to you the brand new story. Also if you haven't noticed the other chapters are no longer available, thank you for understanding.
Note the story will be similar, but it will slightly different. Thank you, again!
The first day of school was only two days away, thankfully this was my junior year of high school. Two years down and two more to go, don't get me wrong high school was not too bad, however somehow I ended up in a clique- the in clique. I have been friends with the same people for as long as I could remember and somehow we ended up the most recognizable people in our little town and ultimately in our school; and because we were the most involved in everything we were ultimately also the most popular.
As you can see, high school wasn't bad, but I longed for a change or someone I could be myself with, while I did have lots of friends and I literally knew everyone in town and at school I always felt different somehow, while I did keep some of my personal life a secret from everyone in town, something else just felt off about my life in that town. The only one I felt comfortable with was with my father, Charlie, and Eva, whom had lived with is for as long as I could remember and was also my nanny of sorts, among other things I also considered her a guide, she always knew which advice to give me and when.
I walked out of my car a proceeded to the gym, where my schedule was waiting for me inside. As soon as a got to the gym, I retrieved my schedule for the year and read it and put it away, once I looked up from my bag I was greeted by Jessica and Angela who were excitedly jabbering away about their new classes and how this year was going to be great, prom, and other exciting things- for them anyway. I made meaningless conversation with them, until what they were speaking about peaked my interest.
"Oh great, here come the new kids" I heard Lauren say in her usual nasally tone, she was a part of our group although I never really liked her because she was one of the most judgmental people I knew.
"I heard they just moved here from Alaska," I heard Jessica whisper to me and Angela ",they live in the forest somewhere, my mom told me something about that house being in their family for a long time. Hey, maybe their ancestors knew their ancestors"
"I don't know, maybe, who are they" I replied
"The Cullens" Jessica replied, "I mean your family has been here forever, both your families are sure to have crossed paths"
That was true as well, for as long as anyone could remember the Swans have been part of the small town of Forks. But I don't remember hearing about the Cullens with my discussions with Eva, my dad, or my grandmother. But of course, our family was usually reserved and didn't do much gossiping.
"Maybe, I could ask my dad about it, maybe he knows" I said just to have her stop asking questions, knowing full well that I was not going to tell her the answer regardless of the outcome.
At this point I had not bothered to look at them, I mean we don't get new people in town often, but on the off chance that we do its is not as big a deal as people make it out to be. After all, who likes to be they center of attention when you are new to a school and town.
When most people had received their schedule everyone was instructed to go the auditorium and wait for the principal. The student body council, which was made up of Lauren, Jessica, Angelia, Mike, Eric, and myself as well as the school welcome committee which was made up of ten other students, guided everyone to the auditorium, not that it was needed since the school was not too big.
After everyone was pretty much settled the principal began his introduction about how school was important and the rules for the school. Angelia, the student body president, gave her welcome to the freshmen and new students.
"Now with out further ado, I'd like to welcome a good friend of mine Bella, who will give you guys further instructions" Angela said as I walked towards the stage.
"Thank you, can I have another round of applause for out lovely student body president. Woo" I said in a chipper voice. "I know some of you guys have been here before, welcome back Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, and to the freshmen and transfers Welcome to Forks High. I hope ya'll enjoy your four years here, I sure have! Anyways, Freshmen and transfers please stay in the auditorium and wait for further instructions, everyone else you guys are more than welcome to stay and hang out or go enjoy the recreational activities outside. Since I'm sure this is what half of you guys came for." As I said that about 75% of the students cheered and left the building.
It was then that I noticed the new students, who I was positive were the Cullens. A group of five, sitting near the exit, they were so pale, so beautiful, so similar yet different. They also looked so familiar, it was as if I could place them somewhere in my memory, but couldn't recall them.
"For those of you who have stayed behind, each of you guys are assigned a mentor to help you transition into high school or into a new school, those of you who are transferring. Ya'll are broken up by last names. Last names A through F please are with Angelia, G through K are with Jessica, L though M are with Lauren, N through Q are with Mike, R though S with Eric, and Finally people with the last name starting in T though Z and students who have transferred in are with me." As I finished my speech everyone shuffled to get to their team leaders.
Every team gave a tour of the school, which was quick and then we went to the assigned class room.
I went in and I wrote my information on the board and assured everyone not to hesitate to text me with any questions regarding school activities, class, or just life in general.
"Does anyone have any questions" I said as I turned around to face the classroom which had about 10 freshmen and the Cullens. During the trip I noticed they kept to themselves, but were respectful of what I had to say I also noticed that in the classroom everyone seemed to separate themselves from them, which was odd usually new people were welcomed.
I answered Sammy's questions about school and how to join the student council and then dismissed the class. As the students were leaving I erased the board and was about to leave when I noticed the Cullen's were still in the class room.
"Hey, girlie" the short pixie looking one said "thank you for the tour" she said with a big smile. "I'm Alice" she outstretched her hands to shake mine and I shook it. It was then when I noticed that her hands were fairly cold, usually I was the one with cold hands, but hers were defiantly colder than my own. I brushed it off.
"Hey, its nice to meet you guys, as you know I'm Bella, how are you guy liking Forks so far" I said as I took a moment to take them all in, every single one so different. The one who took up most of my attention was the tall, muscular, yet lean boy with the auburn hair. I quickly looked away as Alice continued the introduction of her siblings.
"Oh my gosh Bella!" I heard Jessica say, "There you are! Come quick Mike and Eric are having a hotdog eating contest, you have to see this" she said excitedly. I smiled at her "Oh sorry didn't know you were still busy, hurry, before they barf" she said as she laughed and then ran back to where ever Mike and Eric were.
"Welcome to Forks, as you can see we are a small town, and some people are entertained by small things here" I said with a small chuckle.
"We see that" Alice said while smiling "But you're not, am I right?"
"Not really" I said
"Well I can already tell where going to be good friends" Alice said, just as I got a text message. "Don't open that, its from me" Alice said as she smiled.
"Well, hate to cut this new found friendship short, but I think your friends are looking for you" I heard someone say in a chuckle. I looked up and Edwards eyes met mine, I quickly turned around to look out the window as I saw a green looking Mike and worried looking Jessica walking towards where I was. I panicked at the thought of Mike throwing up in the classroom.
I quickly yelled walked out the classroom and yelled at Jessica to take him to the bathroom and I would meet them there.
"We'll see you again on Monday, right" Alice smiled. I nodded, said my goodbyes and ran towards the bathroom where Jessica had taken mike.
