Emily looked at the stick in her hand and was shocked that she was scared of Aaron's reaction to what she was going to half to tell him. She still could not believe that she was pregnant. Besides feeling shock and scared she was ecstatic. Even with all the thoughts rushing through her head she was ecstatic that she would be having Aaron's child. They had been dating for a little seven months but she had been in love with him for well over two years.

She looked at her watch and saw that she had about five minutes before he got to her apartment. She quickly changed out of her work clothes and as she was brushing her hair out he knocked on her front door. She had butterflies in her stomach for what she had to tell him. She wasn't sure how to word what she needed to say but she knew that she had to get it out. She couldn't not tell him tonight. She braced herself for any and all of the reactions that he could have and opened up her front door and gave him a smile that did not reach her eyes.

Aaron knew that something was wrong as soon as he looked at Emily's face. Yes, he saw that she was smiling but he also saw that the smile did not reach her eyes like it normally did. He stepped into her apartment and shut the door and then he pulled her into his arms. He was afraid that she was going to end their relationship and that is one thing he did not want to hear.

"Baby, what is wrong? You can tell me and talk to me about anything." Aaron said as he rubbed his hands up and down Emily's arms and while he looked in her eyes. He saw that she was afraid but he was not sure what she was afraid of.

Emily looked at Aaron and said "I'm pregnant."

Aaron stood there in shock at first and then he smiled. Yes, they may have not been together that long but he has loved for more than two years.

"Then we will get married." Aaron said with a smile on his face.

Emily shook her head. "No, Aaron I will not be the reason you sacrifice your career."

Aaron shook his head this time. "Emily I will not be sacrificing my career and even if I was it would be a sweet sacrifice. The Director of the FBI knows that we are together. Dave talked to him the day after you and I decided that we definitely wanted this relationship. And before you think it me wanting to get married to you is not because you are pregnant. I have wanted to marry you for the last year and when we decided to go forward with a relationship between us it took all of my will power not to ask you to marry me right away."

Emily was in shock but she threw herself at Aaron and rained kisses all over his face and said "I love you Aaron and I'd be thrilled to be your wife. Only a certain kind of fool would tell you no and I'm no fool. Are you really happy about me being pregnant?"

Aaron chuckled at her enthusiastic reply and placed a hand on her still flat stomach. "Emily, I'm ecstatic that you are pregnant. I can't wait to watch you grow big with our son or daughter. I love you."

Emily smiled and pulled Aaron's head down for a tender kiss that soon turned anything but tender. She realized that she had been worried about everything for no reason at all.
