Me: Hello! And welcome to my first Final Fantasy 7 fan fiction!
Zach: So what is going on here?
Reno: Yeah, why are we here again?
Me: You are going to do disclaimers, and warnings! *grins evilly as they stare in horror*
Zach: *sigh* Animefangirl33 does not own FF7.
Reno: warnings, there is reference to alcohol. That is about it for this chapter.

Chapter 1
"Hey Templeton!" Zach called as he ran to catch up. "Where are you going?"
"Over to 7th Heaven for a drink." I replied.
"Aren't you a little young for that?"
I rolled my eyes, "If I am old enough to join SOLDIER, I am old enough to get drunk, and besides it is not the first time I've had a drink."
"But a girl should not be out on her own." He argued, "Especially in Sector 7!"
"Again, I am in SOLDIER. I can take care of myself. Been doing it for most of my life any way."
"But, but, but…" he tried to come up with an excuse to stop me from going. By now I was getting suspicious that he was hiding something from me.
"Unless you can come up with a better reason on why I shouldn't go, I shall be on my way." I snorted, and turned to continue my walk to Tiffa's bar in Sector 7.
"Merideth!" he called, I stopped and turned back to him with a small smile on my face.
"I bet you were chosen to keep me away from 7th Heaven for a reason, at least keep me away for as long as you can."
He stood there with a shocked expression on his face.
I laughed "You look kinda like a chocobo that swallowed a worm the wrong way. Besides I need to stop by the Wall Market to pick up some materia and potions." I started walking toward the Wall a peaked a look at Zach. He looked relived. I grinned.
"Hey! Let me come with you!" he said and dashed up to me.
"Sure." I said with a nonchalant shrug.
We made our way over to the Wall and grabbed some healing potions, Cure, Fire, and Lightning materia, as well as some food. Then we slowly progressed over to Tiffa's bar. Slowly because a) there were a lot of people out, b) we had a lot of stuff, both Zach and I had 2 bags of stuff each, and c) Zach, I think, was purposely being slow.
"Yo Merideth! You want some help with that?" a voice called.
"Why Reno! I didn't know you cared," I said sarcastically as the red head walked up to us.
"Hey Zach." Reno greeted.
"Hey Reno." Zach replied.
"So why are you being so helpful today?" I asked with honest curiosity.
"I lost a bet with Natsuki." He mumbled.
"What was that?"
"I lost a bet with Natsuki." He said louder.
"Oh… So what were the terms of the bet?"
"If you came here first, I had to help you carry whatever you got, and if you went to your house first, she had to help you with whatever you were doing over there." He explained.
"Ah. I see." I said with a smirk. "Then in that case I most graciously accept you assistance. Zach, give Reno one of you bags." I said as I handed Reno the lighter of my two bags. Zach did as I asked, grinning as he did so, and based on Reno's face, Zach had handed him the heavier of his two bags.
"Now then! On to my home to drop this stuff off and then to Tiffa's bar!"
Zach and Reno exchanged glances as I walked toward my home in Sector 1. "Do you think she knows?" Reno asked Zach softly. Zach shrugged his shoulders, and continued to follow me.
